Wrestling In Memphis, Tennessee

This is a resource for information regarding pro wrestling from Memphis, Tennessee.

Chances are, you are probably aware pro wresting has a long and illustrious history in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. I have produced this tribute as a useful resource when looking for information relating to pro wrestling in the Memphis area. Memphis (CWA& USWA) has since some of the brightest stars in the industry develop, in addition to seeing many of the top wrestlers in the past two decades to act as "cannon fodder" for Jerry "The King" Lawler. Actually, they only did was right for the business.

Only in recent times (from 1996) approximately has the promotion fallen on leaner times. This was very much due to popularity of ECW, which no doubt tool some of their fan base, as well as the great matches fans were getting to see on WCW "Monday Nitro" and WWF "Raw Is War".

Things picked up for Memphis I believe from 1999, as WWF was working very closely with them, and sending good talent back to them, as well as sending WWF stars who were a little "green" to hone their skills.
