Dude Love could be considered the coolest incarnation of Mick Foley. The gimmick is my personal favorite. It is my belief that he borrowed the gimmick from "Superstar" Billy Graham. If you don't believe me, check out old tapes of The Superstar. Interestingly enough, others have borrowed the gimmick from Foley, and they include "That 70s Guy" Mike Awesome and Van Hammer (who only carrieed on the charade for a month or so)
